Absolute Beginners Bundle
Absolute beginners guide to learning Fusion 360 CAD design
In this course we will go through the design of an MX Handguard using Freeform modeling to create the complex surface shape, then move onto using surface and solid tools to details the model and make sure it meets all requirements for manufacture. We will explore various methods to achieve drafted features and cover some advanced workflows that help when dealing with tricky models. At the end of the course you will have a foundational knowledge to tackle complex parts for production.
In this course we will expand on our surfacing knowledge while working through a practical example of a Motocross Hand Guard design. We will learn how to layout 2D sketches to build complex 3D shapes. How to approach a complex design, and how to define the references for the greatest amount of design flexibility while maintaining high quality surfaces.
This Bundle contains the HID Controller Design course and the Design for Injection Molding Course.
Designing parts is one thing, but design for manufacture comes with its own challenges. In this course we will introduce common terms, workflows, and information about general molded part design before diving in and designing our own Game Controller housing. We will tackle shape creation, draft, parting lines, and all the different features needed before finally sending the design off for quoting and review. If you are looking to learn how to design parts for injection molding this is a great place to start.
In this course we will start from the basics in Plasticity from setting up our units and grid. We will work with basic modeling workflows by creating and modifying basic shapes slowly adding a higher level of detail. At the end of this course you will have solid foundation with the basic modeling tools in Plasticity to progress and make your own designs.
